Salt bath soft nitriding treatment ISONITE
Applicable to all iron-based materials without selecting steel grades.
The ISONITE process is a treatment that hardens the surface of iron-based metals through salt bath nitriding. Steel materials treated with ISONITE exhibit improved hardness, the formation of a dense compound layer, and enhanced resistance to wear, seizure, and corrosion. Furthermore, the diffusion layer formed just below the compound layer significantly improves fatigue strength. The Parker Group manufactures and sells its own salt for heat treatment to achieve a stable ISONITE process. These salts are used worldwide and have contributed for many years to various industrial sectors, including the transportation equipment industry.
